Sick Indie Spotlight: Everything but Quiet: Feminism in Rock Music: Hex Poseur Talks Sexism

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

"Quiet" is a Stoner Rock song by UK based Hex Poseur that takes a look at toxic masculinity in today's society. It not only gets the message out with its brilliantly catchy and honest lyrics but it also invites you to sing along and rock out. I love this kind of message in music. It reminds me so much of the 90s. I've always related with Kurt Cobain's more empathetic and respectful tone towards women (and the fact that he also had more women friends like I did made me relate to him as well) and listening to Hex Poseur ignited this melancholic feeling in me about the 90s. The magic of grunge, rock, and stoner elements make this a gem worth revisiting again and again which I do. Watch what she had to say here:

You can listen to Hex Poseur in my special Indie Playlist called 'Sick Indie' which features a bunch of independent and/or unsigned artists among a handful of more known artists. The unknown artists are the real stars of this playlist, so be sure to check it out below. Hex Poseur is featured on "Sick Indie" with her track and our collaboration "Devil's Comeback".
